Wednesday already!

I can't believe where the time has gone. The first week after the babies were born seemed to be in slow motion. Not that we were actually moving slowly. There was never a moment to spare. On Sunday we were all so tired that we did nothing but pump milk, nap, wash bottles and repeat. We finally caught up on our sleep enough to get rid of the "run over by a Mack truck" feeling. At least Ryan and I have. Amy has to get up at all the "feedings" and Ry and I take turns. This week has brought a trip to the Dr. on Monday, then a visit to the babies. It is an all day ordeal to get ready, pack all the equipment, scrub in, visit, pump, and then come home. It is very tiring for Amy but she is gradually feeling better. Tonight she actually had a pretty good laugh without yelling, "don't make me laugh"! Tuesday was a stay at home day. We found out today that the babies were awake for a long time and Amy might could have held them, but she needed a day to stay home and regroup. Today we went and both looked darling. The nurse Da Marsha, is a very enthusiastic care giver who really love those kids. She is very encouraging and is all about Moms holding their kiddies. Some of the nurses don't want them disturbed at all. Adam had clean hair all spiked up and looked very cute. We were so busy watching that we never thought to take a picture. Maybe tomorrow. Rachel is feeling much better and is getting milk every 6 hours. She was snoozing but looks so pink and pretty. A nurse cut the bandages holding her breathing tube on into hearts. We were able to bring blankets to put under them and over the top of their incubators. It gives them a touch or "ours" and "home. Amy is very sweet with these babies as she talks to them and changes them. She will be doing more and more of that when they get moved to the special care nursery. We have no idea when that will be but it could happen any time. They really are doing well and I am sure that is due to all your thoughts and prayers. After the hospital visit today we did some necessary shopping and then our tired Mommy had a nap after dinner. Life is good and we are thankful for all we have.
