Today was finally the day. After 2 days of scurrying around in final preparation mode, we went to the hospital at 3. Everything was smooth sailing until it was time to say goodbye to Rachel. Thankfully she was asleep and blissfully unaware. A few tears were shed, but not by the babies. Adam was wide awake and had a look of total wonder on his face as we left the nursery and went through the lobby. He stayed away the whole ride home and then was happy for a nice nap. We were happy to have a quiet dinner. He ate and went back to sleep and we are having a quiet evening. Who knows what night time will bring, however. We are so glad that all has gone smoothly that we don't even care. Check out Amy's blog for cute pictures. Only 9 1/2 weeks and we have a baby home! Oh, happy day.
I have washed and sterilized bottles and washed baby clothes and am in Grandma Heaven. Now the adventure begins. Stay tuned for chapter 2 when Rachel comes home.

Hurray!! What great news!
He is so adorable and it must be so wonderful to have him home. Hopefully Rachel won't be far behind.
Yay! and Hooray! It must be a relief that he is well enough to come home. This might be a tough time with one at home and one in the hospital. You will be split. Hopefully baby Rachel will soon follow.
